Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
This is an analysis of the variables that maintain inappropriate behaviors or “problem” behavior. Various assessment tools are utilized to determine the underlying function of the inappropriate behavior. Once the function of the inappropriate behavior has been identified, a behavior intervention plan is developed to replace the inappropriate behaviors with a more socially accepted alternative. The Board Certified Behavior Analyst trains families and staff on the implementation of the Behavior Intervention Plan and provides consistent monitoring to track changes in behaviors of all individuals involved.
